New Top Slots Announced by PPI Power & Communications Division
IRVING, Texas – The Plastics Pipe Institute, Inc. (PPI) announced that its Power and Communications Division (PCD) has elected Christian Herrild of Teel Plastics (Baraboo, WI) to division chair and Jennifer Reeves of Petroflex North America (Gainesville, TX) to vice chair. The new volunteer positions took effect on June 1, 2024 with terms running from 2024 through 2026. PPI’s PCD focuses on high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduit for power and communication cabling applications. PPI is the major North American trade association representing all segments of the plastic pipe industry.
Herrild, who will also represent the division on the PPI Board of Directors for the next two years, is the director of growth strategies for Teel, a manufacturer of numerous products including conduit and industrial piping. He has been actively involved in many PPI committees and task groups for more than 10 years, and is now leading the PCD R&D project to establish requirements for using recycled HDPE in conduit, plus active in many other of the division’s projects. For his contributions, Herrild was voted PPI PCD Member of the Year for 2022.
Reeves is the logistics manager for Petroflex, extruder of HDPE conduit and preinstalled cable-in-conduit. In addition to now serving as vice-chair for the Power & Communications Division, she is also active in the PPI Education and Communications Committees plus other PCD project groups. She was voted Member of the Year for 2023 by the Power & Communications Division.
