Applied Bolting Technology

Applied Bolting Technology is revolutionizing bolt installation and inspection globally thanks to their Squirter DTIs. These innovative Direct Tension Indicators (DTIs) ensure bolts are tightened correctly by expelling durable orange indication media when proper tension is achieved. This means erectors are provided with visual verification of bolt tension, allowing them to do their job quickly and accurately without using a feeler gauge. The bright orange media makes it easy to see that all bolts are tightened properly.

Inspectors benefit from the clear visual cue, eliminating the need for close-up inspections of torque wrenches. This allows nearly 100% inspection of connections, vastly improving efficiency and reliability in structural steel projects.

Squirter DTIs are the best way to bolt.

Plastics Pipe Institute

Plastic piping systems are a sustainable and environmentally responsible choice that will serve generations to come. They are energy efficient during manufacturing and provide peak protection from contamination during service. Strong, durable, lightweight and flexible, these piping systems require significantly less energy to fabricate, transport and install than metal or concrete alternatives. With superior resistance to corrosion and abrasion, plastic piping systems also supply long service life, excellent joint performance and offer leak-free protection—all adding up to exceptional value. Plastic piping systems decrease energy consumption, conserve water, improve drinking-water quality and reduce emissions. Additional information, including technical reports, data and case-history examples, can be found at each PPI division: Building & Construction, Drainage, Energy Piping Systems, Municipal & Industrial, and Power & Communications, by first clicking on www.plasticpipe.org.

Portland Cement Association

The Portland Cement Association (PCA) is the premier policy, research, education and market intelligence organization serving America’s cement manufacturers. PCA supports sustainability, innovation and safety while fostering continuous improvement in cement manufacturing, distribution, infrastructure and economic growth.

The PCA “Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality” lays out the vision of America’s cement manufacturers to reach carbon neutrality. To achieve this goal, America’s cement manufacturers are increasingly producing blended cements such as portland-limestone cement (PLC). A concrete mixture designed with PLC (ASTM C595 Type IL) instead of traditional portland cement (ASTM C150 Type I or I/II) allows designers to reduce a project’s carbon footprint by up to 10%.

Invisible Structures

Gravelpave2

Made with 100-percent recycled plastic, Gravelpave2 by Invisible Structures is a sustainable porous paving solution with unmatched strength. Its trademark ring-on-grid design delivers a compressive strength of 2,295,000 pounds per square foot (psf) with 92 percent void space. When filled with gravel, this configuration facilitates rapid drainage of over 38.5 inches per square foot per hour.

With an expected lifespan of more than 60 years, Gravelpave2 is engineered to sustain any weather conditions. Gravelpave2’s material strength and flexibility prevent rutting or uplifting during ground contraction and expansion, enabling it to endure extreme temperatures, rainfall and freeze-thaw cycles. These factors make Gravelpave2 an excellent choice for ADA-compliant paths, walkways or in slow-speed vehicular areas such as driveways, parking lots and fire lanes.

Jacobi Carbons

OX Series Activated Carbons

Jacobi Carbons’ AddSorb OX Series coconut shell-based carbons are designed for use in odor removal, offering high hydrogen sulfide (H2S) capacity (minimums of 0.2 g/cc and 0.3 g/cc). The product is a non-impregnated grade with low ash and high purity and maintains the signature low pressure drop associated with pelletized carbon. The new grade of extruded carbon was developed as part of Jacobi’s ‘GO GREEN’ initiative, which replaces products based on coal and other fossil fuels with alternative renewable raw materials. With coconut shell as the primary raw material, the global warming potential of the AddSorb OX Series is significantly less than that of coal-based carbon, meaning a more-sustainable product for the market.

JRM Chemical

For more than 30 years, JRM has supplied the stormwater and erosion industry with linear and crosslinked polymers. The linear polymers—available in powders, emulsions and tablets—floc water and reduce the turbidity of stormwater runoff. The anionic polymers comply with and are certified NSF International ANSI/NSF standard 60. In erosion control, they can be used to tack hydromulch and for slope stabilization. Crosslinked polymers hold moisture and are used with new tree and ground-cover plantings. They are designed to reduce plant waterings by 50% and last 3-5 years in the soil. More than five grade sizes and types for all aspects of the landscape industry. Full line of mycorrhizal and biological products for plantings.
