The Short Span Steel Bridge Alliance (SSSBA) presents a topic-based video series on short span steel bridges. In this series, Dr. Gregory Michaelson (Co-Director, SSSBA Bridge Technology Center & Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering at Marshall University) discusses how to understand construction loads for short span steel bridges.
The goals of this video are:
1. To provide an overview of staged loading during construction.
2. To discuss lateral flange bending & its sources during construction.
